Hardox competence centre

We are Austria’s leading processor of high-strength and wear-resistant steels. You will learn how to process the hardest steel in the world and manufacture Attachments for Construction machinery, which are also used on international construction sites such as in Dubai, as well as high-strength components, such as for the recycling industry.

You will complete your training on the latest welding robots and 5-axis milling Machining centres on the market. Choose from seven apprenticeships including job rotation, specialisations, learning support, apprentice coaching and apprentice exchanges with partner companies as well as apprentice competitions.

From training to management. All options are open to you. We provide the appropriate infrastructure such as training and further education opportunities, state-of-the-art machinery, LEAN training and much more.

How many years does an apprenticeship at Winkelbauer last?

The duration of your training depends on your chosen apprenticeship:

Machining technology: 3.5 to 4 years (depending on specialisation)
Steel construction and welding technology: 4 years
Agricultural and construction machinery technology: 3.5 years
Business logistics clerk: 3 years
Construction: 4 years
Office clerk: 3 years
