Do you like tinkering and do you get really excited when you think about construction machinery? With us, you will learn everything about maintenance, repair and conversion work, installing and removing spare parts and training customers in the correct use of construction machinery and its equipment.
Construction machinery technicians maintain and repair all types of machinery, equipment and systems used in the construction industry, such as excavators, cranes, crawler vehicles, transport machines, conveyor belts, etc.
Construction machinery technicians work in workshops and workshops of companies in the construction industry, service and repair companies for construction machinery as well as directly on construction sites in teams with colleagues and other (construction) technical specialists and specialists.
Your workspace:
- Perform maintenance, repair and conversion work on all types of construction machinery
- Test and check mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic and refrigeration parts of construction machinery, make adjustments and readjustments
- Removing and installing accessories and spare parts
- Changing operating fluids (oil, water), replacing filters, seals, etc.
- Read service and assembly plans, functional drawings and circuit diagrams
- Prepare technical plans and sketches in the field of construction
- Perform quality assurance measures
- Manufacturing and machining parts, assemblies and components, e.g. by filing, sawing, drilling, grinding, thread cutting, chiselling, forging, turning, milling, polishing
- Assemble components in machines, e.g. by soft soldering, hard soldering, gluing, gas fusion welding, electric welding, inert gas welding
- Check components and machine functions using computer-aided diagnostic procedures and utilise various electronic measuring and testing tools
- Train customers in the handling and use of construction machinery and inform them about required service intervals
