Office clerk

Are you ready to turn your workplace into your command centre? As a budding office clerk, a fascinating journey of discovery through the multifaceted world of administration and organisation awaits you!

Office administrators work in all types of companies, public institutions or organisations, where they carry out all important office and secretarial work as well as various administrative and organisational tasks. They have basic business and legal knowledge and are well versed in the use of computers, the internet and office software programmes. Depending on the area of work and the focus of their tasks, they work either in the secretariat, in accounting, in the personnel office, or in purchasing, shipping and warehousing. Depending on the type and size of the company, they work in a team with colleagues and employees from other departments.

Your workspace:

  • Maintain folders, documents, lists, logbooks and journals
  • Working on computers, using company office software
  • Handle correspondence, emails and telephone calls
  • Scheduling and coordinating appointments
  • Organise and coordinate meetings, conferences and business trips
  • Preparing data for bookkeeping and cost accounting
  • Process payroll accounting, arrange payments and transfers
  • Check stock levels, receive and check incoming goods
  • Assist with the annual stocktaking
  • Monitor incoming payments and send out reminders if necessary
  • Operate the telephone, printer, scanner and photocopier
  • Inform and support customers
