Company logistics clerks are specialists in the field of warehousing. They work in the warehouse or administrative offices of commercial, retail or industrial companies as well as freight forwarders and transport companies. There they order goods and raw materials, accept deliveries, ensure proper storage and check quality. They issue documents and forms and keep appropriate records. They use special IT programmes for this. Company logistics clerks have contact with customers and suppliers, haulage companies, employees in accounting, administration, production, warehousing and the vehicle fleet.
Your workspace:
- Receiving and checking goods
- Store, relocate and retrieve goods
- Operate and maintain technical equipment and facilities
- Determine the required storage conditions based on the properties of the stored goods
- Manage and monitor the stock, initiate the necessary measures if required
- Prepare and dispatch goods
- Involve in the creation of operational warehouse logistics concepts
- Use industry-standard means of communication and information
- Use the IT used in the operational area of application
- Maintain documentation
- Prepare and edit relevant forms, forms and documents
- Perform administrative tasks with the help of company information and communication systems
- Contribute to company bookkeeping and cost accounting
- Create, maintain and analyse statistics, files and indexes
