As a design engineer, you will develop, design and construct the products that are manufactured in our company. Modern CAD systems support the graphic development of technical drawings.
Design engineers for steel construction technology work in design and planning departments as well as in production preparation and production. They plan, design and manufacture steel structures, e.g. in the areas of hall construction, vehicle construction, crane construction or scaffolding. They work with computers and special software programmes (e.g. CAD = Computer Aided Design) for the versions of calculations, simulations, drawings and technical documents.
Your workspace:
- Create technical drafts and designs using special software programmes
- Prepare construction drawings specifying dimensions, tolerances, fits, etc.
- Carry out design calculations
- Create templates for the detailed design
- Consider DIN and works standards and other design guidelines
- Prepare technical documentation, installation and assembly instructions and parts lists
- Create technical documentation
- Programming models and simulations
- Transfer calculations and programming to production
