We are among the winners of this year's TRIGOS Styria AWARD. The TRIGOS is Austria's most prestigious award for responsible business practices. It honours our consistent commitment to sustainability, digitalisation and responsible entrepreneurship. The award underlines our pioneering role in an industry that has been facing the challenges of climate protection and resource conservation for years.
Sustainability as a driving force
For us, sustainable management is not just an empty phrase, but a strategy that we put into practice. Our aim is to reduce CO₂ emissions, conserve resources and strengthen regional value creation. We are one of the first companies in Austria to use the CO₂-reduced steel “Zero” from SSAB.
The use of materials with ever-increasing strength, such as Hardox® 500 TUF, makes it possible to reduce material thicknesses while still increasing service life. An enormous benefit along the entire product life cycle. Conservation of resources and energy efficiency from delivery and in-house processing through to increased payload for the user. Lower tare weight and yet more payload ultimately means less fuel per tonne. We also attach great importance to regional and European partnerships in order to minimise transport routes and ensure the highest quality standards.
Another key part of our strategy is consistent digitalisation.

We also rely on photovoltaic systems to generate our own electricity (two of three expansion stages are currently in operation), an intelligent heat recovery system from thermal cutting processes and the use of electric forklift trucks and electric company vehicles.

The jury recognised our achievements in the areas of climate protection, digitalisation and responsible entrepreneurship. Winning this award recognises the achievements of all our employees and managers – and sends a strong signal to the industry and the region.

Outlook & Significance
The TRIGOS Styria encourages us to consistently expand our sustainability strategy – both technologically and socially. The award is an incentive for us to push ahead with further projects and measures with which we want to surpass ourselves – in terms of the environment, society and profitability.
Because our motto is: “The hardest steel. Sustainable solutions.”
This guiding principle summarises our responsibility – for long-lasting products, for the careful use of resources and for a sustainable future.
