Modre Bergbau relies on Winkelbauer: Reliable buckets for tough conditions. How Winkelbauer loading shovels made of highly wear-resistant Hardox steel master the demanding mining operations at Modre Bergbau.
As a specialised supplier of Construction machinery equipment, Winkelbauer has been supplying high-quality loading shovels for Modre’s wheel loader fleet for years. Most recently in the summer, when another Liebherr L580Z XPower was put into operation. Equipped with a 5.2 m3 WI loading shovel with CAT teeth, a dead weight of 3,700 kg and a cutting edge that was manufactured in one piece with the shovel floor (made of Hardox, of course), it has already successfully mastered its first few hours.
The loading shovels from Winkelbauer are ideally suited to the extreme conditions to which they are exposed at Modre. Above all for the tough conditions in the extraction of amphibolite rock. Hardox 450 offers an excellent balance between wear resistance and hardness, while Hardox 500 offers additional wear protection for particularly demanding application scenarios.
This capability is a decisive factor for Modre when it comes to organising the dismantling process efficiently and economically. The many years of co-operation are greatly appreciated. This also applies to workshop manager Ferdinand Vormaier, who has been involved from the very beginning. He is impressed by the quality. WI customer advisor Thomas Wölfl looks after the locations on site. Personal appointments are part of Winkelbauer’s “all-round service”: “You only gain the crucial information and insights on site, especially when selecting materials. This enables us to specify and manufacture the equipment to best meet our customers’ requirements,” says Wölfl.
