Those who complete their apprenticeship at Winkelbauer with honours are invited on a trip to Sweden. In addition to Stockholm, we visit the steelworks of our partner SSAB. Our young specialists can look forward to an exclusive tour with exciting insights.

Tour of the SSAB steelworks
This May we sent some of our employees on a trip. Our Stephan Winkelbauer gave us some exciting insider tips. After all, he himself worked in Sweden for several months.
Why are we travelling to Sweden of all places? Because in addition to a great city trip to Stockholm, we are visiting our partner SSAB in Oxelösund and touring the steelworks. During an exclusive tour of the plant, our team was able to experience first-hand where our most important steels – Hardox®, Strenx® and Armox – are produced.
Experience first-hand how the hardest steel is made
There are few steelworks where you can experience steel production so closely. How often do you get to see a 20 tonne slab at 1200 degrees in close proximity? These insights were a special highlight for our outstanding apprenticeship graduates.
