WI equipment for fire brigades
Modern operational support: New telescopic handlers for Burgenland fire brigades including equipment from Winkelbauer.

The new telescopic handlers, which were purchased as part of the disaster control concept, have arrived at the state fire service base in Eisenstadt and will be delivered to the fire services in Burgenland in the coming months. With this equipment, the Florianis will receive versatile vehicles that are very well suited as a basis for regional and supra-regional operations. “The volunteer fire brigades are the cornerstone of safety in Burgenland. That’s why the state of Burgenland is making record investments in high-quality infrastructure and equipment for the fire brigades, because protecting the population is the top priority for the state government,” emphasised Governor Hans Peter Doskozil at the presentation of the new telehandlers together with fire service advisor Heinrich Dorner and state fire service commander LBD Franz Kropf. “Every cent and every euro spent on the fire service is well invested, as it ultimately serves to protect the people of Burgenland. For this reason, the disaster control concept was developed together with the Burgenland Fire Brigade Association and is now being implemented step by step,” explained Doskozil. “All five phases of the disaster prevention concept should be completed by 2027. In total, a good 20 million euros are available for these safety precautions for the population of Burgenland so that the fire services are equipped as optimally as possible for their operations. This is why the purchase of the telescopic handlers was necessary,” explained Dorner.

FF- Equipment
The new JCB telescopic handlers are equipped with equipment from Winkelbauer. Disaster operations present fire brigades with increasingly complex challenges. The equipment from Winkelbauer has already proven itself in action, as experience reports show. Impassable terrain, hazardous areas that are difficult to access, buried roads and time-critical situations require highly flexible equipment. You can find more testimonials here.
