For 100 tonne excavators
rock bucket with a special ball guide
Austria's first Komatsu PC950LC-11E0 is in operation at the Hengl Group and has been equipped with a WI rock bucket. With more than 100 years of experience in the extraction of raw materials, the Hengl Group is currently optimising various areas in order to secure its position as a leading regional company in the future. One of the central points is the modernisation of the vehicle fleet, where investments have been made in new Komatsu large machines at almost all locations in recent years. This also includes equipment from Winkelbauer.
100 tonne excavator
First in its class
In recent years, Hengl has invested in numerous new Komatsu machines. The highlight is the recently delivered and first PC950LC-11E0 in Austria. The 100 tonne excavator was immediately equipped with a matching Winkelbauer rock bucket with a special ball guide for a 6 tonne ball. Since the beginning of September, this power pack has replaced an older high bucket excavator and has been loading the blasted rock onto a Komatsu large skip in Limberg. The PC950LC-11E0 also crushes large stones by dropping the steel ball from the bucket onto the stone from a height of several metres. The company has also invested in a PC490LC-11 hydraulic excavator with WI Attachments. This machine is also equipped with a 3.0 m³ rock bucket with full-surface bottom doubling and ball guide and has everything under control when loading marble limestone embankment stones. Winkelbauer is one of the standard equipment suppliers for Hengl’s wheel loader and excavator fleet.
With ball bearing guide
WI rock bucket
Austria’s first PC950LC-11E0 was equipped with a permanently bolted rock bucket from Winkelbauer. The Excavator bucket has a weight of 7,900 kg, a volume of 5.3 m³, a cutting width of 2,200 mm and a ball guide for a 6 tonne ball. The PC490LC-11 is also equipped with a permanently bolted rock bucket with a volume of 3.0 m³, a cutting width of 1,800 mm, a weight of 3,500 kg and a ball guide for a steel ball with a diameter of around 900 mm. The wear-resistant design, consisting of mechanical sideshrouds, heelshrouds, Chocky Bars and full-surface floor doubling, can be easily maintained on both. Highly wear-resistant materials such as Hardox 500 TUF and Hardox 450 were used.
