Our expertise in the machining of highly wear-resistant and high-strength steels was decisive for the completion of an impressive order, in the truest sense of the word. Thanks to our extensive experience with Hardox steels, modern machinery and capacities for large components weighing up to 10 tonnes each, we were able to fully meet the customer's demanding requirements. The components were manufactured with the utmost precision by our specialised specialists and completed in two stages.
In the first half of the year, we manufactured a pre-fill skip with a sealing cap and a 7,000 kg vehicle skip. Both are planned as parts of a large material ropeway with a payload of 25 tonnes in a quarry in Switzerland. The highly wear-resistant Hardox steel was processed by the world market leader SSAB from Sweden.
The tacking and manual welding were carried out to perfection by our highly qualified specialists. Crane capacities of up to 10 tonnes as well as assembly and painting stations for large components are available in our production facility for the challenging dimensions and high unit weights and made the work on the parts much easier.
Finally, the components were inspected by an external inspector to ensure compliance with all quality standards. Delivery took place in two stages, in mid-May and early July.
